A prayer walk from central Bromley to Crystal Palace has been organised for Saturday 29 September and SS Joseph & Swithun parishioners are welcome to attend.
Organised by Transform Bromley Borough, the event, Footprints of Blessing, is an opportunity to walk and pray in a group at specific locations.
Walkers are invited to meet at 9.30am in Bromley’s Queen Gardens for prayer. The schedule is then as follows:
- leaving Queens Gardens at 10am
- praying at various locations and churches across the borough
- arriving at Crystal Palace Park at 1pm
- a short service at the park will include prayer and worship
For those who are able to stay on afterwards, and weather allowing, there will be a picnic in the park, so please bring a packed lunch.
The total distance walked will be approximately 5.5 miles; there will be a planned 30-minute comfort break at Beckenham Baptist (at about 11.15am).
If anyone would like to be involved in the walk, but would find the distance a constraint, you are welcome to join the group at an appropriate point in the walk, or at the end in Crystal Palace Park.
