Remembering Hiroshima: a call to end nuclear weapons

Pax Christi international is hosting a World Assembly to mark the 75th anniversary of Hiroshima – and all are invited. In memory of the anniversary, on 18-22 May 2020 Pax Christi international invites all to hear the stories of the people who survived the atomic bomb in the Japanese city on 6 August 1945, and pledge to work for a world free of nuclear weapons.

This worldwide gathering is a chance to explore what it means to be peacemakers in an increasingly inter-religious context, to network with experienced peace practitioners and share best practices, to be inspired by the stories of the people of Hiroshima, and to celebrate our movement while envisioning a better future we will build together.
