                  Rosary Group

The rosary is recited daily in the Lady Chapel after morning Mass and everyone is most welcome to join this devotion. The purpose is to pray for Our Lady’s intercession for the relief of suffering in the world, the Pope’s intentions, all priests and religious sisters, our own intentions, and vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Old and broken rosary beads, medals and crosses are collected in a box in the Foyer of the Church, repaired and sent to the missions overseas.

                  Taizé Prayer

Taizé is a small village in Burgundy, France, where an international, ecumenical community was founded by Br. Roger. The brothers come from all the Christian churches where their daily life revolves around gathering young people for prayer and reflection. Their method of prayer is focused by chants which are deliberately repetitive and lead into silence. The tunes and words of the chants stay with you afterwards and help you to connect into God’s presence. Tens of thousands of young people from all over the world are drawn to Taizé to be a pilgrim for one week. A small group who cherish this way of prayer invite you join them at St. Joseph’s.
