Pax Christi: spreading the message of peace

The Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales is calling for signatures on an e-letter to be sent to the local MP set up to raise the issue of settlement, the blockade of Gaza and the impact of 50 years of occupation in the West Bank.

During Holy Week and the season of Easter, Pax Christi asks that we remember and pray for the peace process and the people of Syria.

There is a CAAT Lobby of Parliament taking place on 19 April, calling for human rights ahead of arms sales. You can find out more about Yemen, famine and arms sales in this article published in Peace News, a newspaper for the UK grassroots peace and justice movement.

Professor Paul Rogers’ weekly article in Open Democracy on global security and Iraq and the Middle East in particular is also worth a read.

For those who are interested, there are many regional and national Pax Christi events taking place. Please click here to find out more.
