Pax Christi appeals for nonviolence

Pax Christi is urging people to mark International Day of Nonviolence and remember those suffering the war in Yemen.People are dying of starvation as ports, factories and food stores are deliberately destroyed through Saudi air strikes. The UK Government is arming Saudi Arabia.  CAAT are undertaking great work to expose this and to stop the ‘special relationship’ that exists between UK and Saudi Arabia.

In September, together with  PC International, Pax Christi wrote on this urgent matter to the Prime Minister.

Pax Christi held an international conference in Rome earlier this year, appealing for nonviolence, and hopes that Pope Francis will devote his World Peace Day to the theme of Nonviolence: a style of politics for peace.

You can watch a Channel 4 documentary here on the catastrophic bombing campaign in Yemen.
