Hospitality

Hospitality is a very important ministry in our Church. Please help – there is no commitment other than helping when the occasion arises. We try to be available for funerals when people travel long distances and may not know their way around our Church. The work is not onerous but is sociable.

Parish Assembly

The Parish Assembly is usually held after the 5 pm Sunday Mass, following announcements in the Parish Newsletter. It provides an opportunity for parishioners to find out what is happening; make plans for the coming year, put forward suggestions or comments about any aspect of Parish life, and discuss the Church annual accounts.

Parish Pastoral Council

In addition to the Parish team the PPC consists of twelve parishioners, a representative group, nominated by the parish. Some features of the PPC are:
  • It is Christ centred;
  • representative;
  • pastoral;
  • collaborative;
  • prayerful;
  •  discerning;
  • prophetic;
  • enabling & unifying.
It's role is to affirm the good already being done by:
  • Discerning & strengthening the value of existing programs and services;
  • encouraging new initiatives;

  • sharing in the task of identifying pastoral needs
  • planning strategically for pastoral activity and service.
  The PPC meets 10 times a year as a norm. Minutes of the meetings will be available in the church foyer next to the list of members.
