                  Bromley Churches Housing Action

                  Is concerned generally with homelessness in Bromley Borough (Chairman: Deacon Duncan Aitkins), and, in particular, runs the LATCH Project, which finds accommodation for homeless young persons, aged 16 to 25, in Bromley Borough, by using spare rooms in ordinary households.

                  Careplus

                  Careplus is an inter-church group which operates to help people who are sick, housebound, lonely or just in need of a friendly face.

                  Catenians

                  We are an international brotherhood of some 10,000 members in the UK, Australia, Africa, Malta, Ireland and Hong Kong. Our friendship is not just that gained by dining and enjoying social bonds, but by caring for each other in sickness and in health, by caring for our widows, and by helping those of our membership who have suffered misfortune. We have a benevolent fund for those who have suffered misfortune and a bursary fund designed to help young Catholics seeking to help others.

                  Churches Together in Central Bromley


                  is affiliated to Churches Together in England and Wales. St Joseph's is a member Parish and we support combined events which are advertised in our weekly Newsletter.

                  Deanery Pastoral Council

                  The council consists of lay representatives from each Parish in the Bromley Deanery. It acts as a channel of communication between parishes and provides a focus for organising courses or groups at a Deanery level.

                  Knights of St Columba

                  A fraternal organisation of Catholic men whose objects are to support the hierarchy and clergy in the work of the lay apostolate, and to foster the spiritual and social welfare of members and their families. Council meetings are held in St Joseph’s Hall on the third Thursday of each month, and membership is open to all practising Catholic men over the age of 18.
