Fr Peter is moving to a new Parish and a new Parish priest will be starting in Bromley from 1 May.
Because of Fr Peter’s recent ill-health, the Archbishop has decided it would be best for him to move to a smaller Parish. Fr Peter will move just after Easter to replace a priest who is retiring.
Fr Saju Pinakkattu, who was previously Assistant Priest of St Joseph’s, will be starting in Bromley on Wednesday 1st May.
“I am very sorry that you have to cope with another change of priest,” says Fr Peter. “However, your new Parish Priest is truly excellent, and I know you will be really delighted when he comes! God bless you all!”
Fr Peter has served us as our parish priest for the past four-and-a-half years.
Fr Peter will celebrate the 10.00am Mass at St. Swithun’s on Sunday 21st April followed by a ‘Farewell Party’ in the hall afterwards. And he will celebrate the 11.00am Mass at St. Joseph’s on Sunday 28th April followed by a ’Farewell Party’ in the hall afterwards. All parishioners are invited to attend.
To show our appreciation to him we will be having a Leaving Collection. Donation envelopes are available in the foyer.
